Wings Skoda Dominate Skoda Challenge 2026
The Škoda Challenge is a global competition designed to identify the very best in the Škoda network. Dealership employees from across the UK compete in various categories—demonstrating their skills, knowledge, and customer-focused approach. The top performers in each category advance to the UK National Finals, and the winners there proudly represent the UK at the World Finals.
The 2026 Finalists and Winners for the UK have been announced and once again Wings Skoda has been well represented throughout.
Sales Manager
We’re pleased to announce that our very own Nic Wattiez has been crowned UK Sales Manager of the Year.
Nic is no stranger to this stage - as this is the 6th time he has been a finalist (extending his own record within the Skoda UK network) and 3rd time he has won this award. Nic will go on to represent both Wings and the UK at the Skoda Challenge World Finals in Krakow later this year. Fingers are crossed for a repeat of his win in Vienna last year where he took home the 2025 Award… the first person from the UK to claim a category win at the World Finals.
Nic is pictured alongside Philip Taylor (Head of Network Sales, Skoda UK) and Tracey Taylor (Head of Learning and Development, Skoda UK) as well as other finalists including Kenny Wintersgill (West End Garage, Stirling) and Levi Wright (Vindis Skoda Cambridge).
Well done to all the finalists, a fantastic achievement. And well done Nic!
Sales Executive
In the Sales Executive category, Wings Skoda had 2 Finalists. Dean Lovell made the final for the second time, while Kieran Slocombe made his 5th appearance in the final and was also the category winner for 2026. Like Nic above, Kieran will also travel to Krakow later this year with an eye on taking home the Global Skoda Challenge Sales Executive Award for 2026.

Technician
The Technician category saw David Alexander make his 2nd appearance in a row in the Final. A fantastic achievement and great recognition for his skills and performance. Congratulations go to Mike Trigg from Van Mossell Skoda on the Isle of Wight who will go on to the Global Final.
Parts Manager
Daniel Butcher-Lord was named as a Finalist in the Parts Manager category. The top prize was taken by Darren Meakins from Caffyns Skoda, Tunbridge Wells. Buoyed by his experience reaching the Final, Daniel will hope to continue his great work and go one step further next year
Service Advisor
Last but certainly not least, saw our own Lea Humphrey take her position as a Finalist in the Service Advisor category. Lea and the rest of our team extend our congratulations to Holly Williams of Faintree Skoda in Shrewsbury who took the winning spot.
Well done to all our Finalists and Winners, it really is a fantastic achievement to have so many representatives across the various categories given the strength and quality of people we see working across the Skoda UK network every day.
Keep your fingers crossed for Nic and Kieran as they make their way to Krakow later this year. We hope to be reporting further success for Wings Skoda.
