Seventh heaven for ŠKODA as KODIAQ scoops Auto Trader award
Milton Keynes, 9 May 2019: The brand’s highly decorated large SUV comfortably outscored the competition with its remarkable interior packaging and practicality being highlighted by owners.
As in previous years, the 2019 Auto Trader New Car Awards were decided by more than 63,000 real car owners rather than an editorial judging panel. As a result, the 2019 winners represent the consumer champions of the new car market, based on the honest opinions of those who have bought, driven and lived with their new vehicles.
Visitors to the Auto Trader website were asked to rate their cars in 16 different categories, from reliability and performance to design and running costs. They were also asked to score their overall satisfaction with their car and how likely they would be to recommend it to others.
Commenting on the KODIAQ’s victory, Erin Baker, Auto Trader’s Editorial Director, said: “The KODIAQ ranked highly for ease of making use of all its space and how nice it is to drive. Owners also love how it looks, its features and accessories, reliability, safety features and how safe it feels when driving. One of the most important things to consider when buying a seven-seater is its practicality and that is one of the stand-out reasons people love their KODIAQ.”
ŠKODA models have traditionally performed very strongly at the annual Auto Trader Awards. The OCTAVIA was named New Car of the Year in 2018, while the OCTAVIA Estate took top honours in the Estate car category.
Since its launch in 2016, the KODIAQ has become one of ŠKODA’s most popular models with owners and judging panels alike. It has won no fewer than 15 key industry titles, including Auto Express Best Large SUV in 2017 and 2018, Honest John Car of the Year 2018 and What Car? Best Large SUV.
