New Skoda Citigo
Just some quotes from the first reviews of Skoda's new City Car:
“The Citigo is brilliant fun to drive, well engineered and ticks all of the ‘car about town’ boxes that it should,” said Matt Burt from Autocar. “In 74bhp form, the three-pot 999cc engine is remarkably refined and, as well as its urban prowess, feels capable of handling motorway cruises without any fuss. The light-but-precise steering reinforces the sensation that this is an agile car that is in its element when nipping in and out of traffic.”
Steve Fowler from Auto Express was equally impressed. He said: “For such a diminutive car, it has an incredibly grown-up feel: from the quality of the cabin to the way the car rode the bumps on our test route around ŠKODA’s home city of Prague.”
Comparing the Citigo to similar cars from other brands, John McIlroy from What Car? said: “The three-cylinder engine is refined when cruising. It's also smooth enough when asked to deliver in a hurry. In these areas at least, the Citigo feels a more mature offering than the Hyundai i10 or Kia Picanto.
“The interior is smart and functional, with an uncluttered instrument panel and a textured plastic finish that’s in a different league to a Hyundai i10’s fascia.”
